Hue (Hway) Hoang
Registered Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist DTCM, BSc
Hue (she/they) is a double graduate of the Western-Eastern Integrated Orthopaedic Massage Therapy program and the combined Acupuncture and Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program at the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She also holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta (UofA).
Hue deftly integrates her knowledge of Orthopaedic massage and Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities of acupuncture/acupressure, cupping, gua sha (scraping), and auricular (ear) therapy to foster a unique Western-Eastern integrative approach to pain management. She emphasizes the importance of a holistic health approach through comprehensive assessments in order to provide a balanced, comfortable and relaxing treatment experience encompassing each client's concerns. In addition to treating musculoskeletal conditions and pain management, Hue has a special interest in the management of mental-emotional wellness as well as facial rejuvenation. She welcomes people from all walks of life to her practice. If massage can’t pinpoint your problem, acupuncture can take a stab at them. ;)
In the meantime, Hue is completing a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies at the UofA (graduating in Spring 2023) to further deepen her cultural knowledge of East Asian traditions and philosophy. On her days off, Hue loves to nourish her yin energy, taking things slowly by cuddling with her cat watching dramas, experimenting with traditional and medicinal foods, and going on walks soaking up nature.
